Girl With Green Scarf

My husband was a good sport when I dragged him to Confessions of a Shopaholic flick. We both enjoyed it, and I was actually inspired by the plot and immediately came home and purchased the domain name “Girl With the Green Scarf.”  If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know right away what that might mean. I don’t want to ruin the movie for you if you haven’t seen it, so I’ll just explain what my “Girl with the green scarf ” is all about.

I’m one of those people who collects and has trouble getting rid of anything. Each piece of clothing, teacup, jewelry, painting, has a memory or a person or event attached to it. Or the fabric is so beautiful, even though it’s two sizes too small for me. Or I envision a delightful pillow, tea cozy, apron, quilt or something new made out of the fabric. In my eyes, everything is a valuable resource to be used for something else besides its original purpose. My old treasures could be someone else’s new treasures!

I call this my “creative economy.” During this time of economic woes, why not share some of my resources with others who have been looking for exactly that item that I have no use for any more.

So check this page periodically as I may be sharing some treasures and where you can find them from my collections. I’ll also be sharing ideas of what you can do with your own resources.
